Edtech startup ImaginXP raises $1.5 Million in pre-Series A funding

New Delhi: Edtech startup ImaginXP has raised $1.5 million in a pre-Series A funding round led by Venture Catalysts along with participation of angel investors Shashank Deshpande, Krish Kupatjil, Samyakth Capital and others.

The funding is aimed at accelerating both offline and online degree programmes.
 

ImaginXP is a "virtual university platform" that helps universities provide degree programmes and certification courses. The company provides B.Des (Bachelor of Design), M.Des (Master of Design), BBA, MBA, BSc and BTech degrees, in partnership with universities.

The Pune-based company was started by Shishir Kumar and Shashank Shwet in 2013.
 

“The impressive hold over the higher education market led us to partner with the team,” Anuj Golecha, co-founder at Venture Catalysts, said in a statement. “The MyCoach platform with such a huge captive TAM [total addressable market] and online degrees has digitally accelerated the company to three times growth trajectory over the last two years.”
