The current structure of the preschool industry is based on three models. The unorganized sector in pre-schooling which is made up of the local homegrown market constitutes around 70-80% of the market area. Organized preschools are those that operate on a franchisee model and relatively smaller in number. And the last model is known as the school feeder model with some regular K-12 schools starting their own preschools.  

Opportunities of the Preschool Business :  

Increasing income and liability of Indian parents to spend towards education: As more families turn nuclear there is more emphasis on ensuring a secure environment of education, and children are provided with proper education. Also with the trend shifting towards double-income, parents are more inclined to spend on the early education of kids.

Another trend of shifting the aided growth of preschools in India is due to the difficulty in getting admission in K-12 schools. Due to the rigorous admission process and high level of competition, parents ensure their children do not miss out on early learning and development opportunities. 

Improvement in nature of preschool training :  As the market gets more organized, various imaginative and professionals have made their way into preschool education. There is a greater emphasis on using researched-based curriculum and modern tools to create a learning environment. The quality of infrastructure has been improved as an investment in the sector has increased.   

Market value in Tier II and Tier III towns : Indian preschool market is right now profoundly under penetrated with just 17% of the children in the age gathering of 1.5-4 years going to preschool. The rate is even lower in the smaller towns where under 10% of children go to preschool. With proficient quality training advancing into preschools and mindfulness with respect to how early instruction can help in the enthusiastic, physical well being of children. More parents are looking at preschool options for their kids.
